One-Stop Expansion, the SNAPS Program

One-Stop Expansion, the SNAPS Program

A collaborative effort between FFABT, the City of Phoenix, US Department of Labor, and over a dozen faith based organizations and valley non-profits to expand OneStop services directly into communities.

The partnership will help the City of Phoenix’s Workforce Development Offices in the expansion of the “One Stop” assistance sites into community locations (food pantries, soup kitchens, rehabilitation providers) at a time when the city is under massive budget cuts.

In exchange for the training materials and One-Stop curriculum and web content, service providers will under-go training so their volunteer staff are well prepared to meet the needs of their community members seeking employment.  In addition, community facilities will be able to refer members directly to OneStop counselors who can assist them with more complicated issues.

As well as championing one site, FFABT is also providing additional IT infrastructure and support needed to implement the program at almost no-cost to the city and service providers.
